President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended Ramadan greetings to the Maldivian people, emphasising the importance of compassion, generosity, and strengthening social bonds during the holy month.
In his address, he reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to improving the lives of citizens, highlighting efforts to enhance housing and livelihoods as part of broader national development initiatives.
The President encouraged Maldivians to use Ramadan as a time for self-improvement and moral guidance, urging them to uphold strong values and set a positive example for future generations. He advised the public to avoid harmful habits, such as smoking, and to refrain from spreading misinformation. Stressing the spiritual significance of the month, he called for increased acts of kindness and community engagement.
President Dr Muizzu also underscored the blessings of peace and stability in the Maldives, urging citizens to remember and support Muslims facing hardship globally, particularly Palestinians and others affected by conflict.
He concluded his message with prayers for the nation’s prosperity and unity, expressing hope that the virtues of Ramadan would strengthen faith and reinforce a culture of goodwill among Maldivians.
