MIRA reported a 19.3 per cent increase in property zakat al-mal collections in the first two months of the current fiscal year, reaching MVR 11.26 million compared to MVR 9.44 million in the same period last year. January saw a 48.5 per cent rise in collections, while February maintained the upward trend. Overall, zakat al-mal collections have now reached MVR 101.9 million, marking a 12.9 per cent increase from FY23.
