Male' City Council partners with Polytechnic to train 100 skilled workers

Male’ City Council’s Women’s Development Committee (WDC), in collaboration with Polytechnic, has launched a programme to train 100 skilled workers. The initiative was inaugurated by Mayor Adam Azim at a ceremony held at the Polytechnic.

Mayor Azim emphasised the importance of skill development, particularly in fostering entrepreneurship. He highlighted that skilled workers can become self-reliant, generating income and creating job opportunities for others.

This initiative between Male’ City Council’s WDC and Polytechnic comprise of six short-term courses, each lasting five days, which cover a range of in-demand skills, including dhigu hedhun fehun, libaas fehun, kasabu libaas bovalhu hirugethun, woodcarving, electrical work, and technical skill development in air conditioning and refrigeration.
