President Dr Mohamed Muizzu reaffirmed that the Maldives follows a non-aligned foreign policy based on national interests, not favouritism toward any country. He clarified that the Chinese research vessel in Maldivian waters is conducting environmental studies and does not reflect a pro-China stance, noting that vessels from various nations are welcomed. President Dr Muizzu also stressed the importance of adapting to global changes to safeguard national interests and highlighted positive economic developments under his Administration.
