Twelve non-resident diplomats present credentials to President Dr Muizzu

Twelve non-resident diplomats presented their Letters of Credence to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu today, during an official ceremony held at the President’s Office.

The diplomats were formally escorted from Republic Square to the President’s Office in a traditional “Haiykolhu” cultural procession, accompanied by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Drum and Trumpet Band.

Those who presented credentials include ten non-resident ambassadors and two non-resident high commissioners. They are:

His Excellency Fleming Raul Duarte Ramos, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Paraguay to the Republic of Maldives
Her Excellency May-Elin Stener, Non-Resident Ambassador of Norway to the Republic of Maldives
His Excellency Dr Abdenor Khelifi, Non-Resident Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Republic of Maldives
His Excellency Rath Many, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of Maldives
His Excellency Conte Alassane, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to the Republic of Maldives
His Excellency Juan Antonio March Pujol, Non-Resident Ambassador of Spain to the Republic of Maldives
His Excellency Dr Alireza Delkhosh, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Maldives
His Excellency Adel Ibrahim, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Maldives
His Excellency Munyiri Peter Maina, Non-Resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya to the Republic of Maldives
His Excellency Evagoras Vryonides, Non-Resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Maldives

President Dr Muizzu met individually with each diplomat, congratulating them and welcoming them to the Maldives. In these meetings, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as tourism, education, and health care.
