President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has called for unity among elected officials, stating that patriotism must rise above political differences.

Addressing residents of Noonu Velidhoo during his ongoing tour of Noonu Atoll, the President urged Members of Parliament and Councillors to support national development plans regardless of political affiliation. He noted that such cooperation is essential for the full realisation of the Government's initiatives.

Reaffirming his stance, President Dr Muizzu said genuine patriotism means prioritising the nation's interests above personal or political agendas. He emphasised that the Maldives’ dignity and long-term stability depend on a collective commitment to national unity and purpose.
