The President’s Office has once again opened applications to fill vacancies on the Tax Appeal Tribunal, marking the third call for submissions this year.
With this announcement, all previous calls, issued on 15 July, 4 August, and 20 August 2025, have been nullified.
Applications are now invited to fill two seats on the Tribunal, including one reserved for a candidate from the legal field.
Interested candidates may submit their applications on working days until noon on Monday, 8 September 2025. Application forms can be downloaded from the President’s Office website.
The Tribunal is an independent body established under the Tax Administration Act of 2010, tasked with adjudicating disputes between taxpayers and the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).
It provides an impartial avenue for appeals on tax-related matters, ensuring transparency, accountability, and due process in tax administration. The Tribunal is composed of members with expertise in law, finance, and accounting, with at least one position legally required to be filled by a candidate from the legal field.
