Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) is participating in the PATA Travel Mart 2025, which is taking place from 26 to 28 August at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.

Regarded as one of the premier travel business exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region, the event draws together a diverse range of travel and tourism organisations, offering opportunities for collaboration and new business connections.

VMC explained that its participation is designed to position the Maldives as a destination that can be experienced year-round. The Corporation is presenting a wide selection of the country’s tourism products and experiences to regional and global partners, with the aim of strengthening the Maldives’ profile as a leading luxury destination in the Asia-Pacific market.

Officials stressed that taking part in major international exhibitions such as PATA Travel Mart remains central to the strategy of reinforcing the Maldives brand worldwide.

Thailand represents a particularly important market, with 10,165 tourist arrivals recorded from the country as of July 2025. By comparison, arrivals from the wider Southeast Asia region stood at 40,061 during the same period.
