Sri Lanka’s new High Commissioner to the Maldives, Mohamed Rizvi Hassen, officially assumed his role after presenting his Letters of Credence to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at the President’s Office today. 

In talks following the ceremony, President Dr Muizzu and High Commissioner Hassen exchanged views on boosting trade, advancing economic cooperation, and addressing climate change. They also reaffirmed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, which have been in place since 1965.
