Three major development projects have been launched in Alifu Dhaalu Dhan’gethi during President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to the island.

The initiatives include the commencement of practical works on the new Dhan’gethi Police Station, along with groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Island Council Secretariat and a Fitness and Recreation Centre.

Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan inaugurated the Dhan’gethi Police Station project, while Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works Adam Shareef Umar officiated the groundbreaking for the new council secretariat. The groundbreaking for the Fitness and Recreation Centre was jointly officiated by Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu and Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed.
