Minister of Education Dr Ismail Shafeeu has announced that a nationwide campaign will be launched next year to train teachers in artificial intelligence (AI). Speaking at the Principals’ Conference 2025, he said the initiative aims to equip educators with the technical skills needed to apply AI in teaching and learning. The Minister also highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen teacher training, revise the national curriculum, and support professional development, including during Ramadan. He stressed that advancing teacher capacity is essential to nurturing thoughtful, skilled youth who are grounded in Islamic values and prepared for future challenges.
