The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded the contract to develop a new football ground in Lhaviyani Naifaru.

The agreement was signed on Sunday at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation. Minister Abdulla Rafiu signed the contract on behalf of the ministry, while MTCC Managing Director Ahmed Saudee signed on behalf of the company.

Valued at MVR 24.78 million, the project is scheduled to be completed within 360 days.
