President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Air Station in Seenu Gan, the first air station established under the MNDF Air Corps.

The inauguration follows a Presidential Decree issued on 3 November to establish and operationalise the facility, which represents a significant step in enhancing the nation’s defence capabilities.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Dr Muizzu said it is the Government’s intention to strengthen the MNDF in key areas to ensure the security and sovereignty of the Maldives.
