Maldives showcases luxury tourism at ILTM Cannes 2024

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is leading a delegation at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Cannes 2024, running from December 2 to 5, at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès.
The Maldivian contingent includes 12 representatives from seven companies: Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, Amilla Fushi, Bliss Maldives Pvt Ltd, Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives, JA Manafaru, The Nautilus Maldives, and Villa Resorts.
The Maldivian stand showcases the nation's luxury tourism offerings through displays of opulent resorts, exclusive liveaboard experiences, and the destination's natural beauty. Trade visitors get the chance to engage in personalised meetings with industry partners throughout the four-day event, which began with the Global Forum.
France remains a significant market for the Maldives, currently ranking as the destination's seventh-largest source market, with 1,664,648 arrivals as of October 2024. MMPRC plans to strengthen this market further through various initiatives, including the upcoming Discover Maldives Webinar Series.
The destination's global standing was recently reinforced at the World Travel Awards, where it secured ‘World's Leading Destination’ for the fifth consecutive year and ‘World's Leading Green Destination’ for the first time.
