Maldivian Airline has announced a reduction in fares on its Colombo route for 7 and 9 December, with tickets starting from USD 99.
The airline stated that the lower fares form part of a wider strategy to enhance competitiveness while improving the passenger experience. Maldivian aims to position itself as the preferred choice for travel between Malé and Colombo, offering more affordable prices alongside added benefits.
Each passenger on the Colombo flights will be entitled to 35 kilogrammes of complimentary baggage, a measure the carrier says will make travel easier for Maldivians and strengthen tourism links with Sri Lanka.
Maldivian’s international expansion continues with special holiday-season flights to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, scheduled throughout December and January to meet festive-period demand.
The airline currently operates a fleet of 25 aircraft, including one Airbus A330, one Airbus A320, five ATRs, eight Dash 8s, and eleven Dash 6 Twin Otters.
