Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) is showcasing the country’s wellness and experiential tourism offerings at the Eurasia Tourism & Health Expo (ETHEXPO) 2025, held in Istanbul from 26 to 29 November, as part of efforts to strengthen the Maldives’ presence in the Turkish and Eurasian markets. The participation is being carried out in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Maldives in Türkiye.

ETHEXPO is recognised as one of Türkiye’s key exhibitions for the tourism and health sectors, drawing exhibitors and visitors from over 100 countries. The event provides an opportunity for destinations and industry players to engage with professionals in medical, wellness, and leisure tourism, and to explore new avenues for cooperation.

According to Visit Maldives, the Maldives’ involvement aims to highlight its growing focus on wellness, a segment that continues to gain traction in the Turkish market. The delegation is presenting the country’s hospitality strengths, spa and wellbeing services, and nature-based therapeutic experiences, alongside information on luxury resorts and ocean-centred treatments.

VMC stated that participation in the expo allows the Maldives to expand engagement with regional travel trade partners and to introduce its wellness-related products to a broader audience. The corporation will also take part in B2B meetings and networking sessions, with the aim of forming new partnerships with agencies specialising in wellness and medical tourism.

Organisers noted that the exhibition offers valuable insight into emerging consumer trends, helping destinations refine their tourism strategies. Visit Maldives said the event supports its wider efforts to diversify Maldives tourism and enhance visibility in niche markets.
