A new Police Post has commenced operations in K. Dhiffushi, marking another step in the Maldives Police Service's plan to establish law enforcement presence on every island within the next five years.

Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau and Dhiffushi Council President Ibrahim Sunil jointly inaugurated the facility at yesterday's ceremony. Council President Sunil hoisted the national flag, while CP Shujau raised the police flag.

Speaking about the expansion of police services, CP Shujau emphasised the importance of establishing police presence on every inhabited island. He highlighted that it is crucial for maintaining internal security, safety, and peace in communities, as well as investigating and preventing criminal activities.

He also revealed that the police force is undergoing administrative reforms to enhance service quality and implement necessary improvements. These changes aim to strengthen the institution's effectiveness in law enforcement and community safety.
