Practical works have commenced on the Waste Management Centre and Phase Two of the Land Reclamation Project in Raa Dhuvaafaru, as part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s official visit to the island.

The commencement of practical works for the Waste Management Centre was inaugurated by Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works Adam Shareef Umar. The project has been awarded to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company and is scheduled for completion within 120 days.

Phase Two of the Land Reclamation Project in Dhuvaafaru was inaugurated by Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Dr Abdulla Muththalib. The project is expected to support further development on the island by expanding available land for infrastructure and community needs.
