Passport services have been launched in Haa Alifu Kelaa as part of Maldives Immigration’s efforts to expand access to essential services across the country.

Maldives Immigration officially introduced the service in Kelaa on December 13, enabling residents of Haa Alifu Atoll to collect their passports from additional locations. Applicants can now choose Dhidhdhoo, Ihavandhoo or Kelaa as their passport collection points within the atoll.

The expansion is part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to decentralise passport and national ID card services, bringing them closer to island communities and reducing the need for travel to Malé City.
