The Government of Maldives has expressed its full support for efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in Yemen.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Government of Maldives welcomes initiatives undertaken by the Saudi Arabia to de-escalate the situation in Yemen. The statement also welcomed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to measures intended to restore security and stability in liberated areas.

The Government of Maldives called on all Yemeni parties to respond positively to these efforts and to engage constructively in the peace process, with the aim of fulfilling the aspirations of the Yemeni people for development, prosperity, and a stable and peaceful Yemen.

Several other countries have also expressed support for Saudi Arabia’s efforts to promote security and stability in Yemen, including the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan.
