Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation Limited (FDC) has confirmed that a minor fire incident at the Aman Dhoadhi 1 housing complex was swiftly contained, with no injuries reported.

In a statement posted on social media, FDC said the fire was brought under control by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Fire and Rescue Service, and that the affected area has since been secured. The corporation said inspections are currently underway to assess the situation.

FDC also addressed misinformation circulating on private Viber groups, particularly claims related to ventilation shafts and waste disposal. The corporation urged the public to act responsibly and refrain from spreading unverified information, warning that such claims could contribute to future incidents.

FDC said further updates will be provided as inspections continue.
