The Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) has reduced registration fees charged for food service businesses by 50 per cent.

The MFDA announced the decision on Wednesday, stating that the reduction applies to both registration and category fees charged for food service establishments under existing regulations.

The authority said the revised fee structure will be effective for a period of two years, starting from 28 January 2026.
