The Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage has launched the “Roadha Saafu” clean-up initiative in Malé City as part of preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, with participation from multiple Government institutions and companies. The clean-up drive covered five areas in the Greater Malé Region — Artificial Beach, the Usfasgandu area, Industrial Zone, Rasfannu and the Salman Mosque area — and involved 22 State agencies and organisations. Ministers Adam Naseer Ibrahim and Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim took part in the activity. The Ministry said the initiative aims to promote environmental cleanliness ahead of Ramadan while reviving cultural practices linked to preparing homes and public spaces for the holy month.
