The Maldives Police Service will host Cyber Expo 2024 at Hulhumale’ Central Park from Wednesday until Friday this week, focusing on strengthening digital security awareness nationwide.

According to the Ministry of Homeland, Security and Technology, the expo aims to establish a secure digital environment and enhance public understanding of cybersecurity measures.

At the three-day event, visitors will have the opportunity to explore an extensive display of cybersecurity-related gadgets and services, whilst industry experts share knowledge about common cyber threats and prevention strategies.

The expo welcomes participation from government institutions, state-owned enterprises, private companies and industry professionals, underscoring the growing importance of cybersecurity in the Maldives' digital landscape.

Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB), the official banking partner for the expo, will showcase its digital security features through a dedicated exhibition stand. These include two-factor authentication and biometric unlocking capabilities in their mobile application and internet banking platforms.
