The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced revised operating hours for ferry and bus services in Malé during the month of Ramadan.

According to MTCC, the 24-hour Malé-Vilimale ferry service will not operate between 5:50 pm and 7:00 pm, while the Malé-Thilafushi ferry will be out of service from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The Malé-Gulhifalhu route will be temporarily halted from 4:15 pm to 5:00 pm, and the Hulhumalé-Malé ferry service will stop after 3:00 pm.

Adjustments have also been made to RTL bus services in the capital region. The Malé-Hulhumalé, Hulhumalé-Airport, and Malé-Airport bus routes will not operate between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. The Hulhumalé Internal Bus service will be paused from 5:15 pm to 7:15 pm, while the Malé Internal Bus and Vilimale Bus services will be suspended from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

MTCC stated that the last service on each route will be scheduled to end before sunset, ensuring operations are aligned with Ramadan practices. The company reaffirmed its commitment to remain a reliable and convenient public transport provider during the holy month.
