Renewable wind energy system to be developed in Manadhoo

A wind energy generation system is set to be established in N. Manadhoo. The project is being implemented under the 'Accelerating Sustainable System Development Using Renewable Energy' initiative, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The Ministry of Finance, acting on behalf of the Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy, has announced a call for eligible bidders to undertake the pre-development study, design, supply, installation, and maintenance of the pilot wind renewable energy system. The bidding process will adhere to the Asian Development Bank’s single-stage, two-envelope procedure and is open to participants from eligible countries, as detailed in the bidding document.
The bidding document, which includes details on eligibility criteria and qualification requirements, is available on the Ministry’s website for interested parties.
Interested parties can register with the Ministry of Finance from 9 December 2024 to 6 February 2025. A non-refundable registration fee of MVR 1,500 or USD 100 is required.
A pre-bid meeting will be held online on 8 January 2025 to provide further details about the project. The deadline for bid submissions is 10 February 2025.
