The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has announced the fares for ferry services operating between Faafu Atoll and Dhaalu Atoll under the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) network.

The fares were published in the Government Gazette on Sunday. The lowest round-trip fare between the two atolls has been set at MVR 260, while the highest fare stands at MVR 300.

RTL services had previously been launched in Raa Atoll before being extended to Faafu and Dhaalu Atolls. With the addition of these routes, the RTL ferry network is now operational in 15 atolls nationwide.

The nationwide rollout of RTL services is structured across six zones. Operations have commenced in four zones to date, while services in Zone 3 and Zone 4 are yet to begin.

The Government plans to introduce RTL ferry services in the remaining four atolls within the next six months. The Ministry is working in collaboration with Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), the operator of the service, to complete the rollout.

The RTL ferry network has improved inter-island connectivity by providing scheduled, reliable services at affordable fares. The fixed timetable enables passengers to plan travel more efficiently, while the pricing structure offers a cost-effective option for residents travelling between islands.
