The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has announced it will open on two days during the final 10 days of Ramadan to provide services to the public and banks, despite the period being observed as public holidays.

In a notice, MMA said it will be open on 11 and 18 March from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. During these two days, banking services as well as the submission of letters and enquiries will be available between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

The Authority said it will continue to provide services until the seventh day of Shawwal, in line with service arrangements announced for the Ramadan period. MMA said the measures are intended to ensure continuity of essential financial and administrative services during the holiday period.
