First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has inaugurated the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) campaign office for the South Galolhu constituency in Malé City.

The inauguration was held at a ceremony on Sunday evening, attended by party officials and supporters. The South Galolhu local council candidate and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) candidate expressed appreciation to the First Lady for inaugurating the campaign office and taking part in campaign activities.

Several speakers at the event said the party’s candidates were presenting what they described as a realistic policy direction for local governance. They also highlighted the importance of electing councils that can work with the Administration of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to implement its development agenda.

The PNC is set to field the highest number of candidates in the Local Council and Women’s Development Committee elections scheduled for 4 April 2026.
