Over MVR 460,000 recovered in 48 hours in Malé City: Police

The Maldives Police Service has recovered a total of MVR 464,819 over the past 48 hours as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen safety and security in Malé City.

Details released by Police outline operations carried out during the period by officers stationed in Henveiru, Galolhu and Maafannu.

Galolhu Police recovered MVR 365,099, while Henveiru Police recovered MVR 65,000. Maafannu Police recovered MVR 34,720 out of MVR 138,552 that had been reported lost.

During the same period, Galolhu Police Station arrested three individuals and responded to 18 calls for assistance. Officers initiated action in two cases on their own and recorded 35 incidents. Traffic Police reviewed 39 cases and conducted checks in 738 locations.

Henveiru Police Station responded to 13 calls for assistance and initiated action in six cases independently, while recording 24 incidents. Traffic Police reviewed 101 cases and inspected 752 locations.

Maafannu Police Station responded to 25 calls for assistance and initiated action independently in 10 cases, recording 33 incidents. Officers conducted checks in 777 locations and inspected 112 areas where complaints are frequently lodged.
