The newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of the Maldives to Denmark, Geela Ali, has presented her Letters of Credence to King Frederik X of Denmark.

The credential ceremony was held on 25 February 2026 at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen.

During the audience, Ambassador Geela conveyed greetings and good wishes from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to the King, as well as to the government and people of Denmark. She also reaffirmed the commitment of the Government of Maldives to further strengthen bilateral relations and promote cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The Maldives and Denmark established diplomatic relations on 8 November 1982.
