The President’s Office has announced that Government offices will close during the final ten days of Ramadan, with the holiday period beginning on 9 March 2026.

The decision follows a Directive issued by the President’s Office on 4 February 2024, which designates the final ten days of Ramadan each year, starting from 1445 AH, as official Government holidays. The measure is intended to uphold Islamic values and encourage greater observance of religious practices during the final days of the holy month.

The Directive instructs Government institutions to ensure the continued delivery of essential public services during the holiday period. Authorities have also been directed to inform the public of any changes to operating hours to minimise disruption to service delivery.
