First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has inaugurated the People’s National Congress (PNC) Malé campaign office for candidates contesting in Kulhudhuffushi City in the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior PNC officials, Members of Parliament and party supporters. The party’s mayoral candidate for Kulhudhuffushi City, along with candidates contesting for council and WDC seats, were also present at the event.

The PNC is intensifying preparations ahead of the elections scheduled for 4 April, with campaign activities underway in Malé and across cities and islands nationwide.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, in his capacity as leader of the PNC, has been actively participating in campaign events in Malé. As part of the party’s door-to-door initiatives, President Dr Muizzu has been meeting residents, engaging with the public and listening to community concerns.

The PNC has fielded more than 1,300 candidates for this year’s Local Council and WDC elections, marking the highest number of candidates submitted by a single party in the history of these elections.
