The Barceló Nasandhura Malé, a new luxury hotel in Maldives, is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2025.

Located on the site of the former Nasandhura Palace Hotel, it will be the largest hotel in Malé, featuring 136 rooms, including 95 with ocean views, and 116 serviced apartments.

Operated by Spain’s Barceló Group, the hotel expands the company’s presence in Maldives, following the launch of the Barceló Whale Lagoon Maldives in August 2024. Barceló also manages properties across the UAE, Thailand, and Europe.

Facilities at the new hotel will include four dining outlets, a rooftop shisha bar, an oceanfront pool, a gym, a spa, and 1,034 square metres of conference and event space. Initially planned for December 1st 2024, the opening was delayed to finalise construction work.
