The Business Center Corporation (BCC) has opened participation for this year’s Dhiveheenge Ufehdhuntherikamuge Maurazu 2026, one of the Maldives’ largest national exhibitions showcasing local talent and innovation.
BCC said that this year’s exhibition will feature products across 73 categories within 16 fields, highlighting a wide range of Maldivian skills, craftsmanship, and creativity.
The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has released the participation guidelines, noting that a technical committee comprising representatives from the Ministry and BCC will oversee the classification and evaluation of entries.
The exhibition is open to Maldivian citizens aged 13 and above, companies with 100 per cent Maldivian ownership, Government-owned enterprises, educational institutions, island and city councils, as well as persons with special needs.
The 16 categories include handicrafts, agriculture, fisheries, transportation, construction, information and communication technology, creative arts and design, fashion, jewellery and accessories, renewable energy, food, machinery and equipment, wood products, language-based products, religious items, and other sectors.
Participants are required to exhibit original products that are not prefabricated or imported, and applicants must be the producers of the items. Products previously exhibited at the event will not be eligible.
Organised annually by BCC, the exhibition serves as a major platform to promote entrepreneurship, skill development and business expansion across the country. Officials noted that this year’s edition will place a strong emphasis on innovation and collaboration, with participants expected from across all atolls.
The exhibition is scheduled to take place from 23 to 31 October and will feature a marketplace for local products, an innovation and technology zone, entertainment areas, and dedicated exhibition spaces.
