Fenaka Corporation has announced that a new generator set installed in Haa Alifu Thakandhoo to address ongoing electricity issues has now been brought into operation.

The generator, with a capacity of 250 kilowatts, was installed on the island as part of efforts to resolve persistent power disruptions. Fenaka said the new unit is expected to significantly ease the electricity issues faced by residents.

Electricity supply challenges continue to affect several islands across the Maldives. In response, the Government has been undertaking efforts to address these issues, including projects to increase power generation capacity in both islands and cities.
