President extends condolences on passing of Ahmed Moosa

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended condolences following the passing of Ahmed Moosa.

In a message shared on his official X account, President Dr Muizzu said he received the news of Ahmed Moosa's passing with profound sadness. He noted that Ahmed Moosa had rendered invaluable service to Faafu Nilandhoo over many years and had been honoured with the National Award for Service in 1992 in recognition of his contributions to the field of agriculture.

The President highlighted Ahmed Moosa's dedicated service as Island Chief of Nilandhoo, stating that he had served the island with sincerity. He further noted that Ahmed Moosa's trustworthiness, kindness, strong work ethic, wisdom had set an example for the people of the Maldives.

President Dr Muizzu also acknowledged the accomplishments of Ahmed Moosa's descendants, noting that many among his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren had excelled in education and gone on to render distinguished service to the nation.

Concluding his message, the President extended sincere condolences to the family of the late Ahmed Moosa and the residents of Nilandhoo. He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives him, grants him His mercy, admits him to the highest ranks of Paradise and bestows upon him eternal peace.
