A series of activities will be held across the Maldives tomorrow to mark Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSME) Day, with programmes aimed at supporting entrepreneurs, promoting local businesses and encouraging innovation.

The Business Centre Corporation (BCC) and SME Digital, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade, have organised a range of events to commemorate the day. Through MSME Beyond, business centres across the country will host sessions for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners, focusing on how to start and grow businesses while sharing the experiences of successful entrepreneurs.

As part of the celebrations, SME Digital will hold a business outreach programme in Kaafu Huraa from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday in collaboration with the Huraa Council and BCC. The event will provide information on financing opportunities and business support services available to entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, the eight teams selected for MSME Pitch Up will receive mentoring from industry experts and the BCC team to help develop their business ideas, products and business plans.

The celebrations will conclude with MSME Fest at Hulhumalé Central Park on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., featuring 30 stalls showcasing small and medium-sized businesses alongside entertainment, children's activities and food outlets.

Throughout the day, MSME Day Live will also be broadcast, highlighting opportunities available to businesses, success stories from local entrepreneurs and government initiatives to support the growth of the sector. BCC stated the activities are intended to provide entrepreneurs with greater access to information, guidance and business opportunities.
