State Minister for Defence and National Security Aishath Safoora has participated in the UNICEF–NDMA Regional Learning and Knowledge Exchange on Advancing Child-Centred Disaster Management Commitments held in Kathmandu, Nepal. She attended the regional programme alongside a representative from UNICEF Maldives.

The forum brought together participants from across South Asia to exchange experiences and good practices in child-centred disaster risk management, preparedness and community resilience. The Ministry said the programme also provided an opportunity for the Maldives to share its experiences while strengthening regional partnerships in disaster management.
