Member of Parliament for South Fuvahmulah constituency Ibrahim Hussain has said that President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is markedly different from previous leaders and has proven over the past two and a half years that he does not hesitate to serve the people.

Speaking during MMTV's live coverage of the Congress Party's internal election, MP Ibrahim said that despite the financial challenges faced by the Government over the past two and a half years, major development projects have continued across different parts of the Maldives.

"When a government takes office, there are always major challenges. We have worked through those challenges with careful planning, and we have only now reached a stage where we can catch our breath. Today, many development projects are progressing at different stages. I believe that over the next two years, these projects will be completed and the public will begin to benefit from them," he said.

The MP also said that despite the impact of the conflict in the Middle East on the global economy, the Government has managed its affairs in a way that has prevented the burden from falling on the public.

He further said that with candidates elected through the party's internal election, PNC’s activities across the atolls will expand further, enabling development projects sought by the public to be implemented more effectively and at a faster pace.
