The Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO), in collaboration with the Maldivian Embassy in Thailand, is showcasing its products at Grand Halal Bangkok 2026 as part of efforts to expand export opportunities and promote Maldivian fisheries products in international markets.
The exhibition, being held from 15 to 17 July at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), is among the region's largest halal food trade events. MIFCO said participation in the exhibition would help strengthen partnerships with international buyers while creating new business opportunities.
The company said the exhibition also provides a platform to showcase the Maldives' sustainable pole-and-line fisheries and promote value-added fish products to premium buyers and distributors across the Asian market. Thailand remains the Maldives' largest export market for fisheries products, with the Government seeking to further diversify export markets and expand the global reach of Maldivian fisheries products.
The exhibition is expected to attract representatives from more than 70 countries and between 12,000 and 15,000 visitors. The Maldivian Embassy in Thailand is also participating in the event to promote the Maldives and strengthen cooperation in trade, tourism and investment.
