The main structural work on the Creator Hub building in Malé has been completed, marking a key project milestone.
The Business Center Corporation (BCC) said work is now focused on the building's interior fit-out, including plumbing, sewerage, electrical installations, and other finishing works.
Structural works on the 11-storey building have been completed, while 97 per cent of masonry work has been finished. Plumbing works have reached 75 per cent completion, while electrical installation and painting have each reached 5 per cent.
The Creator Hub is one of BCC's projects aimed at expanding the Maldives' creative economy. BCC Managing Director Ibrahim Ziyau Mohamed said the corporation's goal is to ensure the facility is fully equipped to provide all essential services when it opens.
He said the project is being developed in line with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's vision of building a stronger creative economy by providing creators with a comprehensive facility.
Once completed, the Creator Hub will offer modern production studios and co-working spaces for artists, designers, programmers, and content creators. The facility will include dedicated spaces and equipment for photography, videography, audio recording, and editing.
The building will also house key BCC services for small and medium-sized enterprises, including consultancy and advisory services. An Authentic Maldives outlet will also be established at the facility, creating opportunities for Maldivian creators to commercialise their work.
The Government views the project as an important initiative to diversify the national economy while creating new opportunities for young people in the digital and creative sectors.
President Dr Muizzu has announced that the Creator Hub will officially open on 11 November 2026.
