Maldivian filmmakers, entertainment industry stakeholders and broadcasting organisations have been invited to participate in the 26th FICCI Frames 2026 exhibition, one of India's largest entertainment industry events, scheduled to be held in Mumbai from 29 to 30 September.

The Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade said the opportunity is open to participants from the Maldives through the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The exhibition brings together professionals, policymakers and investors from the entertainment and broadcasting sectors to explore new business opportunities and international collaboration.

The ministry stated that this year's event will focus on the future of the entertainment industry, including film, television, animation, visual effects (VFX) and gaming, while highlighting emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital media and over-the-top (OTT) platforms. The exhibition is also expected to provide a platform for discussions on industry challenges and opportunities to build partnerships with international stakeholders.

Additionally, the ministry said participation would also provide an opportunity to showcase Maldivian talent and creative industries to an international audience.
