Authorities have apprehended two individuals from Male' streets who attempted to commit theft whilst disguised during the early hours.

Police reports indicate that the suspects were taken into custody at approximately 2:39 a.m. near the Maaveyo Magu junction. Officials noted that at the time of arrest, both suspects were still attired in women's clothing.

The detained individuals have been identified as Mohamed Sabah, aged 46, from GDh. Vaadhoo, Lilyge, and Mohamed Naushad, aged 42, from N. Milandhoo, Sosunge.

During their remand hearing, the court ordered both suspects to be detained for 15 days. Police investigations into the incident continue.
