President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended warm greetings to King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Dr Jafar Hassan of Jordan on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day. 

President Dr Muizzu extended Independence Day greetings in a post shared on X. 

In separate letters to His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu conveyed sincere greetings and heartfelt felicitations from the Government and people of the Maldives to the government and brotherly people of Jordan on the occasion of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s Independence Day.

President Dr. Muizzu emphasised that the Maldives deeply values the long-standing bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and cooperation that have shaped the close and brotherly relations between the two countries. 

Concluding his messages, President Dr. Muizzu extended his best wishes for the good health and well-being of His Majesty the King and His Excellency the Prime Minister, as well as continued peace, progress, and prosperity for the people of Jordan.

Jordan celebrates its independence on May 25 every year since 1946. This year, the Country celebrates its 79th Independence Day.
