A team of experienced Maldivian doctors will conduct a special medical camp in Kulhudhuffushi City from June 12 to 14, offering a wide range of specialist services to the public.

The camp is being organised by Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Malé City Group of Hospitals.

KRH has confirmed that eight senior doctors will participate in the camp, including Dr Abdulla Ubaid, Dr Mohamed Shifan, Dr Asadh Mohamed Shaheed, Dr Mohamed Waheed, Dr Aishath Azna, Dr Ibrahim Misbah, Dr Mohamed Shareef, and Dr Ali Aafee.

The camp will offer various services, such as open and laparoscopic surgical procedures, treatment for chronic wounds, plastic surgery, and cancer-related operations. Specialist consultations in urology and treatment for non-healing ulcers by neurosurgeons will also be available.

Patients will be seen at the hospital’s Outpatient Department (OPD), and KRH has also arranged training sessions for technical staff as part of the initiative.

Registration for those requiring consultations or surgery at the camp opened yesterday. Interested individuals may register by calling 6528864 or via the hospital’s patient portal.

The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with experienced doctors, has been holding similar camps in different regions of the country. A comparable camp was held at Thinadhoo Regional Hospital in April.
