President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for their outstanding hospitality and exemplary services offered to pilgrims, Umrah visitors, and all those visiting the Two Holy Mosques.

Underscoring the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to the service of Islam, President Dr Muizzu acknowledged the pivotal role Saudi Arabia continues to play in facilitating the spiritual journey of millions of Muslims from around the world. He particularly commended the consistent support extended to Maldivian pilgrims over the years, recognising it as a reflection of the Kingdom's deep sense of responsibility and care towards the global Muslim community.

This year, Maldivian pilgrims benefitted significantly from streamlined travel procedures, owing to the Maldives’ participation in the Makkah Route Initiative. This initiative, which is aimed at easing the entry process for pilgrims, granted special authorisations that facilitated a more efficient and seamless journey. In addition to these procedural improvements, enhanced services were provided at accommodation facilities specifically allocated for Maldivian pilgrims, all of which were fully compliant with the local regulations and standards in place.

In a heartfelt tribute, President Dr Muizzu also offered prayers for the generous people of Saudi Arabia, invoking blessings for their continued contributions to the service of Islam. He prayed for the long life, good health, and well-being of both the King and the Crown Prince. Furthermore, he supplicated for the Kingdom to remain safeguarded from ill intentions and to enjoy enduring peace, security, prosperity, and dignity.

Through a message shared in Arabic on his official X  account, the President described the Kingdom’s generosity as a noble and ongoing act of devotion to Islam. He emphasised that the depth of this dedication is difficult to fully express in words. Highlighting the consistency and quality of services provided to pilgrims, he remarked that such steadfast commitment exemplifies a level of care and excellence that merits the highest degree of appreciation.
