Registration for this year’s Ooredoo Fun Run in Addu City will close tonight, with the event set to take place later this month on June 27.

Organised by Ooredoo Maldives, the five-kilometre run is open to the public and intended as a recreational event rather than a competitive race. According to organisers, the run is open to anyone aged six and above and allows participants to move at their own pace, whether walking, jogging, or running.

This year’s Addu edition will include music, inflatable obstacles, coloured powder and water stations along the course. Registration is available through the 'Mooli' platform and closes at 23:59 tonight.

Two registration packages are offered for this year's run with a Standard Kit for MVR 110, which includes a T-shirt and wristband, and a Fun Kit for MVR 210, which includes a drawstring bag, sunglasses, and a bandana in addition to the standard items.

The Fun Run has been held in multiple locations across the country, with Ooredoo stating that over 6,500 people took part in last year’s event in Hulhumalé.
