Q Study, a leading international education consultancy, hosted a major education expo in Malé from June 20 to 21, 2025, attracting more than 800 students exploring overseas study options.

Education Expo 2025, held at Barceló Nasandhura, featured more than 35 universities from over 15 countries, offering students the chance to engage directly with institutional representatives and gain first-hand insights into international education pathways.

Running from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on both days, the expo was designed to streamline the study abroad process. Students could meet university representatives, apply for scholarships covering up to 100 percent of tuition fees, and submit applications on the spot.

Organiser Ahmed Zain Nazim said it was the largest education expo Q Study had ever held in the Maldives.

“We had over 800 students attend. The goal is to ease the process for students — we provide a full service, from A to Z,” Zain said.

Q Study operates as a comprehensive one-stop application centre, with a particular focus on Malaysian public and private universities.

“We're an international company based in Kuala Lumpur. We work with a wide network of universities and offer full support to students here in Malé,” he explained.

What sets Q Study apart, he added, is its commitment to supporting students beyond university admission.

He said the company continues to assist students even after they go abroad, including support during illness, and provides not only help with applications but also financial guidance.

All advisory and support services provided by Q Study are completely free of charge. These include assistance with document preparation, communication with universities, and continued support once students begin their studies overseas.

The expo also underscored Q Study’s growing role in the Maldivian education sector. Zain described the event as more than a typical education fair, calling it a unique experience aimed at making every student feel supported and well-informed about their academic future.

Telecom provider Dhiraagu joined as the official digital partner. Complementing this partnership, the new Youth Activation Zone featured a programme of creative, collaborative, and digital literacy–focused activities. Visitors enjoyed complimentary access to gaming stations and immersive digital experiences, enhancing the expo’s appeal and interactivity.
