The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has launched Haaji MV, a new mobile application designed to provide Maldivians with easier access to essential information for performing Hajj and Umrah.

The app was officially launched by the State Minister for Islamic Affairs, Dr Moosa Anwar Hassan, during a special ceremony held to unveil the platform.

Following the launch, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed shared details via social media, noting that Haaji MV aims to streamline the pilgrimage experience by offering practical, Ministry-endorsed guidance directly through users’ phones.

The application features step-by-step guidance on key acts of worship, including zikr, and tools to help users track the number of rounds completed during Tawaf and Sa’i. It also includes video content on the Islamic history of Makkah and Madinah.

Haaji MV is currently available on the Google Play Store, with plans to launch on the Apple App Store currently in progress. The Ministry confirmed that additional updates and features will be introduced in the coming weeks.

The launch of Haaji MV complements a series of recent efforts by the Government to support Maldivian pilgrims. These include participation in the Makkah Route Initiative and increased foreign transaction limits for those travelling for Hajj and Umrah.
